Writing a Proposal Or Argument Essay - Thinking About Your Intentions

Writing a Proposal Or Argument Essay - Thinking About Your IntentionsOne of the most important parts of writing a proposal or argument essay is to decide what your intent is, what are you hoping to accomplish with your essay and when do you expect the best results. This is why it is important to plan ahead and plan your essays in advance of each semester.Well then what is your intent? First of all, if you are writing to win an award then you need to be truthful and honest. That means you must have information and facts that you can present to the committee that will help them make their decision. You should think of yourself as being more than just a student and less than a teacher that might grade the final report.Secondly you want to make sure that your essay is readable, clear and concise. Many times students make a lot of spelling and grammatical errors that make the reader uncomfortable and unhappy. There are many more chances to take that extra effort to be professional.Thirdly you want to make sure that you keep your presentation professional. An argument is much different than a proposal because you are presenting a real proposal. So make sure that you are using an appropriate presentation of your topic.Lastly and most importantly, you want to be consistent in your presentation of the topic. This means that you should never switch subjects because people can pick up on these patterns easily. All you need to do is present your topic at the same time every semester and you will be good to go.Now that you have decided what your intent is and how you want to make your presentation to make sure that you think about every bit of information you provide. You may think that your purpose in writing your proposal or argument essay is to impress your professor. Think about the actual purpose of the assignment, how will this material benefit you in the future. This is the only way you can be certain that your future will look good. It is never too late to think of a better way to present your information. It can mean the difference between getting the grade you deserve and being the student who just got docked points.
